SMART LEGISLATION

Pensions

Health Care

Family Support
-
Sideline earnings
-
Pensioners may keep working if they desire but are taxed as if they earned their pension rate plus the actual earnings (e.g. the pension rate would be 1200€ per month, the earnings are 1800€ per month, hence the tax rate on the 1800€ would be according to 3000€ earnings per month)
-
-
Voluntary work benefits
-
Option A: Every hour of voluntary, faculty or teaching work decreases the income for tax purposes by five times the minimum wage rate (e.g. the same pensioner works 6 hours per week in a food bank, 24 hours per months with a minimum wage of 10€/hr, reducing his income for tax purposes by 1200€, bringing their tax rate down to what it would have been normally)
-
Option B: Every hour of voluntary, faculty or teaching work entitles to a small-value food stamp redeemable in public and private cafeterias and canteens
-
-
Protection of minors
-
Forbid tobacco and alcohol commercials in public spaces and media channels before 8 pm
-
Advertisement allowed to target groups above 18 (e.g. through Facebook, Casinos or other personalized channels)
-
-
Extended day nursery
-
Day care slot fees partially depending on household income
-
Basic right of every family for at least 2 children
-
-
School meals
-
Subsidized vegetarian school meals, only 2-3 coupons for the week, else non-subsidized price (to help reduce cost for schools and incentivize parents to cook larger meals)
-
